Mrs Alice Hrubeniuk reported on the September 27 board meeting in Russell. District President Nowosad urged Institutes to send a delegate to Leadership Live In in Gimli, noting poor representation. Secretary Saley reported a October 14 letter confirming ample room for attendees at short notice. Members to inform Mrs Saley if they can go. Leadership Live In runs October 25 to 28. Members voted 10c per member toward Lesotho Landrover vehicle for instructors in Africa. jackpot prize won by Mrs John Deck. Meeting closed with The Lord's Prayer and lunch served by the hostess.

Voting day in Rossburn is next Wednesday October 27. Voters will pick two councillors from Don Erickson Jack Sector and Harold Slon as incumbents Maron Slow and Wm McKietiuk do not seek re election. McKietiuk withdrew after filing. A liquor referendum on cocktail room and cabaret licenses will also be decided. Polls open 9 am to 9 pm in the Council Chambers.
