October Meeting of Rural Council Confirms Finance and Grant
The Rural Municipality council met October 11 in the Council Chambers with Reeve Alex Cleland and members Morley Brown William Hyra Mike Gawryluk and Joe Dnistransky present. The September 30 financial report was adopted and a 25 grant to the Children’s Aid Society of Western Manitoba for 1966 was approved. The group adjourned to November 8 1966 at 1 pm.

Vista Women's Institute Meeting Amid Fall Activities
The Vista Women s Institute held its meeting at the V home with all members present. The group planned a drive to collect used clothing for overseas refugees and requested donations at Young s Cafe through October. The social hour followed a lunch hosted by the members inviting district ladies to join.

Third UCY Meeting and Upcoming Dance Plans
The 3rd UCY meeting on October 17 opened with The Lord’s Prayer. A dance on October 9 netted $120 profit. A dance is planned for October 28. The next meeting is set for November 1 and the session closed with a prayer.

Rossburn U C W Regular Meeting Held in Church Annex
The October meeting of the Rossburn United Church Women was held in the church annex with 19 members present. Devotional theme Goodness of God from Psalm 65, reports of sick and visiting committees, plans for a Manse furnishings fund, and events including a Tea and Bazaar on October 22 and Legion banquet November 11. Committees formed, study groups to begin, choir gowns received, Explorer Group led, posters for Bazaar and Tea to be made, donations requested. Benediction closed the meeting.

Adults Recreation Club Forming Under Rossburn Commission
The Rossburn Recreation Commission plans an Adults Recreation Club with volleyball badminton basketball and table tennis. Leagues will form and games run one or two nights weekly based on turnout. In-Service Training For Manitoba Secondary Teachers
An in service training session was held for secondary teachers from the Pelly Trail Birciail River and Fort la Boise divisions in Strathclair on Wednesday October 12. The program replaced the former Teachers' Convention and plans are under way for two more days of in service sessions during the next school year. Teachers chose the section to attend and discussed actively with emphasis on the University Entrance Course while Social Studies 301 Economics 301 were included.
