Subscription rates listed Canada 200 per year US 2 50 per year. Cards of thanks and memorial notices 50 cents for up to seven lines, verse notices 1 00.
Local residents shared weekend visits with relatives in Brandon Winnipeg Roblin and Portage la Prairie. Community activities included a Tag Day for Rossburn Hospital raising 61.25 in aid, a Bazaar and tea October 25, and a Youth Club meeting set for October 20 at 8 p.m.
Local social notes report visits from Winnipeg and Saltcoats relatives, fall injuries at a Perceival painting job, and a risky bull incident. Funeral notices mark the Jay and Mandzuik families, while Olga Hrytsak marries William Yarysh at Oakburn Ukrainian Hall. A Ukrainian National Home shower honors Olga Hrysak with gifts and games.
Mrs. Charles of Chicago visits in Oakburn with Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. Brown at the station. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Melnyk relocate to Winnipeg after selling their local farm. Mr. and Mrs. Matt Coulson and sons move from Shortdale, Man to a newly bought dwelling from Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hubech. Miss Olga Teresko of Brandon spends weekend with sister and brother in law the Antonations. Miss Elsie Antonation of Brandon College visits during Thanksgiving with her parents. Mrs. Nell Glass and baby Robert of Midnapore, Alberta, visit Mr. Wasyl Dunits and others in town.
