Lions Club guides community hall liability and village action
Mr. Orest Smycniuk spoke for the Lions Club on liability coverage for events at the Community Hall including alcohol concerns and post event incidents. The Village of Rossburn approved a 3500 grant under the Manitoba Community Places Program for hall and arena improvements and set planning seminar travel for January 1988. Current bylaws were read and passed appointing a Deputy Fire Chief and a Fire Chief and approving land sales to John and Anne Antonin. Permits for a garage and a dwelling removal were granted, reserve fund rules noted, a 4000 draw from the Fire Protection Reserve requested for uniforms, and fire protection survey and delinquent business license actions announced. Accounts paid totaled 17175.57 in General Fund and 7437.02 in Utility Fund.
