Farewell for Mrs. Elsie Panchuk at Oakburn
About 70 ladies gathered at the Ukrainian National Home in Oakburn to bid farewell to Mrs. Elsie Panchuk who leaves for Winnipeg on Monday. She received a chenille bedspread and wool blanket from the Oakburn ladies amid a sing song of old Ukrainian melodies and a lunch hosted by the hostess committee.

The Early Snow Storm That Drove A Herd To Disaster
Reprinted from Free Press Prairie Farmer the account recalls the 1903 storm near Whitewater Lake in Manitoba. New CPR appoints Thomson VP operations Montreal
D S Thomson of Winnipeg has been named vice-president of operation and maintenance for the Canadian Pacific Railway in Montreal reporting to N R Crump. Thomson previously led the prairie region from 1950 and headed the eastern region at Toronto for two years.
