Annie Topolniski 93 passes in Edmonton
Annie Topolniski, 93, died Sept. 27 in Edmonton. She came with her large family from West Uk Traine to Rossburn around 1900 and lived through decades with eight sons and one daughter.

Monthly WMS Meeting in Annex Leaders In Charge

Ressburn Rural Council Meeting Minutes October 11 1960
The Ressburn Rural Municipality council met in the council chambers on October 11. Reeve M J Sotas and Councillors Morley Brown William Hyra Mike Pawluk and Mike Baubie attended. The minutes were read and confirmed. The financial report for September 1960 was adopted. A 10.00 grant was approved to the St John Ambulance annual appeal fund. A rate of five cents per hour was set for plugging patrols during winter snowplowing. Snow plowing for Park Wardens was set at 10.00 per hour. Frank Zegalski was appointed arbitrator for the land transfer petition from Braddock No 2136 to Oakburn No 255. The Court of Revision date was set for October 28 1960 at 10:00. Last month’s total expenses were 13395.55. The next meeting was adjourned to November 8 1960 at 1:00 PM.

Funeral Rites For Stanley Shypowsky
Stanley Shypowsky of Menzie Manitoba died after an 11 day illness at Shoal Lake Hospital. Born 1906 in the Olha district he worked as a labourer and carpenter serving miles around. Prayers were held Sunday night and Monday before a Ukrainian Catholic Church service at Oakburn. Burial followed at the local cemetery. Raginski Funeral Home handled arrangements. Pallbearers included Nick Werzak Shoal Lake Tony Chwaluk Menzie Mike Polos Menzie Tony Raginski Oakburn Fred Werzak Vista Shoal Lake. He leaves his mother in Wynyard Saskatchewan a brother Joe Ninette and a sister Dora Zazulak Grandview with three step siblings. Deepest sympathy is extended.
