Playground project moves ahead in Angusville community
The Angusville community advances a playground project with a $5,000 Manitoba Community Places grant plus existing funds. Volunteers shift equipment from an old rink area to a new asphalt pad near a pavilion and plan fencing nets and future play features while fundraising through calendar draws and a Winnipeg bingo aiming for about $3,000.

Five charged for poaching in Riding Mountain National Park
Five men from Gilbert Plains area face hunting charges from an incident on Sept 25 in Riding Mountain National Park. They allegedly entered the park on Sept 24 and were observed by wardens before a bull moose was shot on adjacent private land, leading to a joint RCMP and DNR investigation.
