The Rossburn Women’s Institute met in the United Church Annex with 17 members and 2 visitors. They carried out routine motions, reported a $110 donation from tagging for the CNIB, announced UNICEF penny collections, noted last year’s $75000 goal, and thanked volunteers for fairground work. Argyle Church marks 60th anniversary in 1898 church
The Argyle Presbyterian church celebrated its 60th anniversary on Sunday October Sth in a full building. The service, led by Mr. T. iellock, featured greetings from local clergy and a solo by Mrs. Jas Sherritt. Messages of congratulations came from church and missionary colleagues, and flowers were presented to organist Mrs. Wm. Armstrong.

The regular Rossburn WA and WMS meeting on Tuesday October 7 with 23 members present opened with hymn 579. Mrs. Menzies spoke on The Good Samaritan and Mrs Hutton led prayers. Plans include next Tuesday's WMS Rally in Rossburn and a bazaar and tea on November 22. Donations of 10 to Osborne Home Neepawa and 10 to Unitarian Relief Fund were approved. Janice Johnston reported on the PCTC Camp at Fort Qu Appelle and a summer week’s stay by members.

Shower Honors Agnes Shewchuk in Hall Reception
A miscellaneous shower honored Agnes Shewchuk on a Wednesday evening in the hall. Shewchuk was escorted to a decorated chair by Betty Mackeden ski, with her mother Mrs. Shewchuk and groom’s mother Mrs. Kachin each being escorted by attendants. Cor sages were pinned, an address read, a wagon resembling a telephone switchboard drew in, gifts were shown, Agnes gave thanks, the crowd joined in For She's A Jolly Good Fellow, and lunch for over a hundred ladies followed.
