Rossburn Elementary hosted a school carnival with nine booths such as face painting bead toss hockey shoot bean bag toss and fish pond. A special guest clown entertained attendees and lunches were available for R E S students. A great day was had by all.

The system, operating from Brandon No 1 Fire Hall, uses a database to identify call origin and alert the appropriate unit, with early phase includes Brandon, CFB Shilo, Cornwallis Elton and Whitehead. Other communities are being invited to join the program as network modernization advances.
Manitoba Health Minister Jim McCrae announced amendments to the Prescription Drugs Cost Assistance Act to curb abuse in the Pharmacare Program. The plan caps reimbursement at 100 days’ supply within a 90 day period with any excess at patient cost, aligning with practices in other provinces and preserving pharmacist and physician contact.
