Nomination day on October 6 produced acclamations in every ward of Pelly Trail School Division No. 37. Returning Officer Ted Bartram announced Ward 2 Cam Collins Ward 4 James Langford Ward 6 Mike Antonin Ward 8 Paul Michalyshyn Ward 10 Mrs Judie Seaton Waywayseecappo.
Doug Joiner won the Rossburn Men's annual Golf Club Championship at Rossman Lake Course. Mrs Emma Elvers won the Ladies Championship. The Men's trophy was donated by Alex Cleland and the Ladies trophy by Dave and Margaret Cleland. Thanks to all participants.
Winners of door prizes at Caldwell Motors new car showing last Saturday include Constable J B Davidson of Hamiota Doctor F A Hodge of Hamiota and Maurice Dutchak of Oakburn.
Dr. J. M. Cormack is named General Manager Operations by R. E. Moffat of Manitoba Pool Elevators. Cormack assumes operations including grain, live stock and farm supplies accounting information systems and member and public relations reporting to Moffat.
The Rossburn Sewing Sisters 4 H Club held its first meeting on October 4 1976 with 25 members for 1976 77 year. The new council includes Pres Cheryl Hryciuk Vice Pres Marianne Hryciuk Sec Pat Antonin Treas Jo Anne Antonin News Reporter Tracy Peck. Meetings are every second Monday and new members age nine or older may join on October 18.

Lawrence Louis Melnyk, 37, was accidentally killed in a farm accident near Rossburn on Monday evening. He was alone on a tractor with a front end loader when the machine tipped and rolled, pinning him. RCMP and Rossburn detachment attended the scene.
Local residents report weekend visits from Ray Saunderson and family of St Catharines to Bill Finch and friends. Mike Koroscil of Detroit with Nick Stupinsky visited Oakburn Elphinstone and Sandy Lake relatives. Jim Duncan of Welland visited relatives Monday. Theresa Perchaluk and Bob Robert were married on Saturday October 2.
Mrs. Eileen Stitt received a farewell tea at her home on September 22 with twenty one attendees signing the guest card. A note of regret announced her departure to Winnipeg on September 27, and friends in Rossburn offered best wishes. A small remembrance was given at a church service on September 12, and she responded by singing a verse of God Be With You Til We Meet Again.
Rossburn Venturer Co invites potential members to Rossburn Elementary School on Monday October 11 at 7 00 PM. Eligible youths are 14 or 15 before January 1 and not in any Scouting movement.
The Rossburn Lions Club hosts JACKPOT BINGO on Wednesday October 13 at 8:00 p.m. in Rossburn Town Hall. First jackpot one hundred fifty dollars in 49 numbers and another jackpot one hundred fifty dollars in 54 numbers.
