Hunters must seek land access before autumn hunts
Manitoba wildlife officials urge 80 000 recreational hunters to obtain permission from landowners or occupants before hunting on private property this fall. The Wildlife Act bans hunting on private land without consent and notices hunters of crown land access should confirm leasing details and livestock presence. If contact fails, Property Ownership Maps are offered by Repromap Ltd and government offices to identify private versus public land across western and southern Manitoba with maps costing between 2.75 and 8 dollars.
