Snow enhances big game hunting in the south and east of the province. The Game and Fisheries Branch outlines regulations: season runs Nov 21 to Dec 7, bag limit one male over one year with horns at least three inches, southern area deer only while north of 53 allows moose, tags must accompany killed animals, no .22 rimfire rifles, Turtle Mountain Preserve closed, Rock Lake open in even years, Zephyr within Rock Lake remains closed, and all hunters must wear full outer red or white outerwear.
