Vista rail letters and community notes from Manitoba item

Vista misses E Stitt and R Miller were passengers to Winnipeg cup Saturday morning. Cpl Johnson of Dauphin and Mrs Johnson spent the weekend at the home of the former at Elloe. Poultry shipments through the Manitoba Poultry Pool will be held on Dec 2 and Dec 13. We are sorry to report both Mrs M Woytowich and Mrs L Hiryeak have been confined to hospital in Winnipeg and wish them a speedy recovery. Two quilts donated by Mrs MacPhail and Mrs H Hamilton were finished at the K C quilting last Wednesday at the home of Mrs M L D Hamilton. The next quilting will be there on Wed Nov 29. Please don't forget to bring or send in your quilt top. The concert and dance held last Friday under Boys and Girls clubs was a successful affair. The Miller cup presented to Willis Stitt and the T Eaton special and G Sinchir socials won by E Chesney and Viton Brown. The presentations were made by Mr A Mic Phail.

Mrs Peter Tucker of Solagirth visits with her parents Mr and Mrs Mike Gensiorek at Meare. Mr Staney eresa left for Winnipeg to seek employment. Miss Olive Michalchuk of Angusville visits her sister Mrs Charles Pawluk. A baby daughter born to Mr or Mrs Nicholas Kozun on November 11. Mr and Mrs I Somnesky and Mrs A Yak in of Selsgirth visit relatives. Frank Bereza received a military call up and went to Angusville for medical. Mr and Mrs Michael Haley and son drove to Shortdate to visit friends. Helen Derlago home for two weeks returns to Russell to work at Sacred Heart Hospital. John Gensiorek, back from Selsgirth, heads to Winnipeg for army duties. Fred Kohach, recently in Manitoba, visits before leaving for Fort Osborne barracks in Winnipeg. Farmers repair roads and bridges. road improvements noted. Many attend wedding reception in Rossburn Town Hall on Monday November 13 b in honor of Mr and Mrs John Garnick. grand time despite bad weather.
