CES Junior Highlights From Rossburn Volleyball
On October 25 the Grand view Junior High team traveled to Rossburn for volleyball matches. Both Rossburn teams won their contests and the season remains strong for the sport. The Rossburn girls have one loss to Elphinstone while the boys were swept by Oakburn in a best of three. A junior high girls tournament is set in Rossburn this Saturday at 10 am with all welcome to attend and cheer.

Minor Hockey Meets to Organize Winter Season
A Rossburn meeting discussed forming a Minor Hockey Association to run this winter. Two representatives will attend a league meeting in St. Lazare Sunday. Poor attendance was noted and a follow up session is set for next Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Rossburn Skating Arena.

Village of Rossburn Council Urges New Assessment
The Rossburn village council met November 13 1966 in council chambers with Mayor Peter Wladyka and four councillors present. They approved minutes and financial and constable reports, discussed lowering water rates to lure industry, granted 10 to Salvation Army, approved garage building permit for Mike F Drozd a, rehired Anton Luhowy as caretaker, hired Vernon Hamilton as skating rink caretaker, urged municipal assessor for a new village assessment early 1967, approved bills, and adjourned to December 20 1966.

A Queen Carnival Bazaar and Dance on Saturday at Oakburn Parish Hall drew large crowds and finished with a strong financial result. United Church Women Meet in Vista
Vista U C W held its regular meeting at Mrs W Chegwin's home with eleven members present. Devotional was led by Mrs An drew Belinsky and Mrs Leonard Belinsky. They plan a study book for 1967 and support upcoming fundraisers for the new manse including a Smorgasbord in Rossburn and lunch for the Pool Elevators meeting. Next gathering at Mrs C Brown's home will solicit hospital gifts.
