Rossburn 4-H Members Named to Manitoba Judging Team
Rossburn 4-H Beef Club members Colette and Bobby Olyarnyk earned spots on the eight member Manitoba team for the International Judging Event at Regina Agribition, after finishing first and fourth in Brandon’s Ag-Ex judging contest. Teammates include Tammie Follis, Jackie Van De Velde, Taralea Simpson, Michele Batho, Norman Dequier, Kurtis Miller, and others. The Brandon event was sponsored by the Manitoba Chapter of Realtor's Land Institute which provided team jackets for Regina.

Committees Named at Inaugural Rossburn Meeting
At the Rural Municipality of Rossburn organizational meeting on October 30 council accepted office declarations and appointed committees. Leonard Sitko becomes Deputy Reeve for a year. numerous standing and ward committees are named with members and duties including finance, health, recreation, library, weed control, and fire guardians. A 23 year lease with J and R Foods at Rossman Lake Resort is proposed, with public access and transfer terms, pending legal counsel review. Council donated 150 to the Rossburn Collegiate Sports Club for a provincial basketball championship and will seek land use approval.
