The 1984 service will take place at 10 45 A M on Saturday November 10 in the Rossburn Town Hall. The photo shows Bellacourt Cemetery in France where many Canadian soldiers are buried.
At an annual meeting in September Mary Procyk was elected President for 1984 85. The executive includes Candy Chicheluk as Vice President Patricia Baubie as Secretary Yvonne Lillie as Treasurer Winnie Kerfoot as Past President Val White Rowena Kominko and Marg Jenzen as Directors. School opens with 11 four year olds on October 2 and nine three year olds on October 4 with Donna Mitchell teaching.
Roblin Russell Progressive Conservative Association meeting on October 15 announced that Wally McKenzie will not seek the PC nomination in the next provincial election. Elected in 1966, he will remain MLA until retirement and plans to stay in the Inglis area with ongoing public and community service.
Winnipeg Attorney General Roland Penner proclaims November 1984 as Crime Prevention Month in Manitoba and applauds Project Prevention for launching the effort. He notes the theme Action Against Drinking and Driving aligns with the ALIVE Traffic Safety Campaign and other measures including Highway Traffic Act amendments and a compulsory alcohol education program for first offenders.
