Rossburn District Health Foundation completes stage one project
The Rossburn and District Health Foundation Inc completes stage one of improving hospital grounds at the Rossburn District Health Centre. The plan, funded by local donations, adds paved walkways shaded seating areas and garden spaces to benefit residents and patients within the district. Stage two and three will follow as donations sustain the project.

Pelly Trail Surplus Grows After Provincial Funds Increase
During the October 12 board meeting the Pelly Trail School Division Trustees reviewed the auditor's budget report and noted a $220,000 funding rise from provincial sources and First Nation tuition fees. The total surplus stands at $1.2 million, with a required buffer of about $800,000 to cover year shortage and borrowing costs. If provincial funding stays stable the Board may decide how to allocate the funds, with options outlined in division notes on page 2.

Rossburn bingo boosts community projects and profits
The Rossburn Agricultural Society and Agri-Rec Centre run weekly bingo at the Rossburn Community Hall from October to May. Volunteers fund prizes and Nevada tickets, with profits supporting Summer Festival improvements, fairground upgrades, kitchen enhancements, and facility renovations. The 1998-99 season posted about 6700 in profit and a large new advertising sign was purchased.
