M P E General Manager Addresses Rossburn Pool Banquet

The Rossburn Pool Elevators annual meeting drew 134 attendees as M P E general manager Turner spoke on farming as big business, rising costs, and investments. Directors and delegates were elected, with Bert Frieze praised and Eugene Caldwell named as next year's convention delegate.

Local Visitors and Family Gatherings Around Onanole

Local residents hosted visitors including Mr and Mrs Stanley Bereza and Mr and Mrs Jack Ostash from Coleman Alberta who toured Rossburn and Onanole returning via Edmonton. A 26 member Andrew family turkey dinner was held at D Andrew home with most relatives present. Mary Joiner stayed with D Gill at Rivers and was brought home by Gill couple. Other trips included Zegalski family visiting Victoria BC and Collingridge and Smith families visiting Winnipeg and Plumas respectively.

Robert Muirman 76 Dies in Rossburn Manitoba

Robert Muirman died October 25 at Rossburn Hospital aged 76. Born in 1888 in Moffat Scotland he moved to Canada in 1896, settled in Oakburn Vista and Kelloe districts. He supported local boys and girls clubs and belonged to Rossburn Legion No 40. He leaves a brother and three sisters. funeral from St Andrew's Church Vista with Argyle Cemetery burial. Honorary pallbearers and active pallbearers named.

Death Notice of Josephine Sorochynski in Elphinstone

Josephine Sorochynski 71 of Elphinstone died October 13 at Shoal Lake Hospital after a prolonged illness. Born 1893 she married Steve Sorochynski in 1910 and homesteaded near Elphinstone. Survived by husband one son Nick and three daughters Lena Past ershank Sophie Raginski and Marcella Spak. Funeral held October 15 at the Roman Catholic Church Elphinstone. Pallbearers listed. Raginski Funeral Home Oakburn handled arrangements.
