Armistice Day Permit Allowance in Rossburn

The notice states Armistice Day on November 11 is a statutory holiday and requires one garage and one restaurant in the Village of Rossburn to obtain a permit from the Department of Labor Legislative Building Winnipeg Manitoba to remain open. Community notices list events in Rossburn including Fowl Bingo on November 3 and 4 at the Town Hall basement with pay as you play, an auction near Oakburn featuring cattle hay and machinery, a Highland bazaar and bake sale at United Church, a Ladies Curling Club pot luck meet, a dance by Rhythm Rambler’s Orchestra, a town hall bingo by the Rossburn Agricultural Society, and the ACT Talent Hunt amateur show to raise TB prevention funds with prizes and CKX radio broadcast.

Funeral Rites Held For Mrs Pauline Wolski of Oakburn

Mrs Pauline Wolski of Oakburn Manitoba died October 10 at Minnedosa Hospital aged 85. Born in western Ukraine she came to Canada in 1901 and lived near Oakburn then Rossburn area before moving to a farm west of Oakburn. Funeral service at Ukr Greek Catholic Church after prayers at Parish Hall Oakburn. Survived by daughters Mrs Stan Puyda Mrs Lilly Skavinski Mrs Anne Kozyk and sons Steve Pete John Nick Mike 25 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral home Raginski Oakburn assisted.
