Manitoba grants from lottery funds total 196 907 go to 20 Parkland Region projects under Series VI of the capital recreation facilities program. 97 applications totaling 840 205 were approved provincewide. MSBL schedule lists Angusville game at Hamiota rescheduled to June 24 with weekly matchups through June 7 and a home opener planned for Angusville next Tuesday.

Rossburn Scouting activities outlined
The Scouting Movement of Rossburn reflects a busy year with Cubs led by Ms. Stefanin and Ms. Herman completing events on May 28 including camporee tree planting Red Cross canvassing a bottle drive candle sales Tea and Bake Sale and a parent Pot Luck. Scouts aided these efforts while Leonard Kostesky’s departure left Jeff Kalyniuk in charge with Wally Mohr assisting until June. Venturers planned for fall growth. The camporee drew about 130 Cubs 113 Scouts and 39 Venturers. Trees for Tomorrow was delayed two Saturdays but plant date May 26 near Leedh occurred. Rossburn offered 75 for tree planting at lagoon and town. Parents Night May 2 with 12 parents present.
