Rossburn council approves water, property and staff measures
The Rossburn council, led by Mayor Louis Kurchaba, adopts minutes, approves a Manitoba Water Services Board rate pass through, leases office space to Agriculture for 105 a month starting June 1 1976, and signs an RCMP service agreement for 1976 77. It authorizes a lawn mower purchase, approves several building permits, and suspends by law 515 for third reading. Budgeted payments total 18417 50 to the General Fund and 5817 65 to the Utility Fund. A June 10 meeting is scheduled.

Angusville Cardinals Defeat Grandview and Binscarth in Opener Streak
The Angusville Cardinals opened MSBL play with a 7 3 victory over Grandview and followed with a 9 2 win against Binscarth to claim first place in the North Division. Jay Freeman highlighted the weekend with a 3 run homer in the Sunday win and again produced strong numbers in Tuesday’s game along with Tim Matz and Lynn Chuck.

Grades 5 and 6 Visit National Science Fair
On Friday May 21 grades 5 and 6 from Rossburn Elementary toured the 1976 National Science Fair in Brandon. They also visited Brandon City Hall and the Brandon Police Department and swam at the YMCA. Dr David Suzuki attended the fair and teachers Jim Procyk and Viviane Desrochers led the trip with chaperones Liz Lukinski Judy Seaton and Mr Andrew Bidochka thanked for coordinating.

Rossburn 4-H Sewing Sisters Achievement Night
The Rossburn 4-H Sewing Sisters held their Achievement Night on May 3 at 7 30 p m in the Rossburn Collegiate. Thirty five projects were judged by Mrs Jan Murray and Mrs Verna Evans with green ribbons for all. Four excel lence awards went to Kim Antonin Denise Chicheluk Cheryl Hryciuk and Rhonda Goletz.
