At a regular council meeting the R M of Silver Creek voted to alter ward boundaries by population under the new Municipal Act. Angusville will gain a ward. four rural wards remain. New road work, nuisance ground concerns, and health regulations were discussed. Committee named to secure a new nuisance site and enforce current rules. Unanimous resolution urged reform of Equalized Assessment for Education Levies. Accounts approved totaling 3 218.46. Next meeting set for June 8 at 9 am.

Fatal Accident Claims Life Of 16 Year Old Randy Oudie
A Sunday May 23 crash near Angusville on a municipal road left Randy Oudie 16 of the Lizard Point Reserve dead when a 1952 Chevrolet left the road and overturned. Lorraine Oudie survived hospitalization in Rossburn. One passenger escaped injury. Rossburn RCMP and Dr Lange of Russell investigated under the Fatal Inquiries Act.
