Weekend Visitors From Several Towns Gather at Huston Home

Rapid City residents Mr and Mrs P Carr Judy and Bonnie visited Mr and Mrs C Elvers and Fred Gutoski family in Souris and Rob Huston of Flin Flon joined. Brandon and Winnipeg guests also called, with Jim Andrew hosting. Sherritt couple celebrated 62nd wedding anniversary. Oak River and Donald Yas Hin families joined in.

Obituary of Thomas Naismith Ferguson 81 Portage la Prairie

Thomas Naismith Ferguson aged 81 of Portage la Prairie died May 16 1966 in Portage la Prairie General Hospital. Born in Glasgow he farmed Rosendale district from 1907 to 1946 and was active with United Church work and local ministerial associations. Survived by three daughters Isabelle Matthews Margaret Semrick Jessie Carson and son Jack Ferguson. Funeral May 18 at Trinity United Church with burial in Hillside Cemetery. McMaster Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Mr and Mrs Bob Morrison and family of Winnipeg visited the Aments and relatives. Mr and Mrs J Lindsay returned home on Saturdays bus after two weeks touring Winnipeg Manitou Somerset Neepawa. Community Dance and Health Meeting in Rossburn

The Cubs and Scouts Parents Committee sponsor a dance at Rossburn Town Hall on Friday May 27 with proceeds to Cub and Scout funds and music by the Fugitives. A Wild Oat Control demonstration by Dan Kier farm specialists is set for May 30 at 1 30 p m. Jackpot Bingo at Rossburn Town Hall Basement on Wednesday June 1 with 12 games at 4 and 2 games at 15 plus lap cards and extra cards. proceeds go to Rossburn Ukr Catholic Church Building Committee.

Rossburn Events Include Fast Ball and Bingo Games

A list of community notices shows a Men’s and Ladies Fast Ball Tournament at Oakburn on Sunday June 5 1966 with a $1500 prize alongside a outdoor bingo at Rossburn on June 8 sponsored by the Ukr Ukrainian Catholic Building Committee. Also a rummage sale and coffee by the Rossburn Hospital Auxiliary is planned for Saturday June 18 in the Town Hall Basement from 11 am to 7 pm.
