Service schedule notes Pastor W B Eaton delivering a sermon titled He Sat Thus On The Well at Rossburn Sunday School at 11 a.m. Vista Sunday School begins at 10 30 a.m.
Mr Geo Belinski oversees a new house build in Vista as the village grows. High School students motored to Angusville to play softball Monday evening and returned as victors. Mr and Mrs W Miller with family visited Mr and Mrs J Johnson in Kelloe on Sunday. Mr Wm McKenzie expresses a desire.
A large crowd attended a concert bazaar and dance at Pete's Lake Hall on Saturday May 14 sponsored by the Perch School pupils. Eighteen articles were raffled with top prizes including a quilt a cash prize and household items. The event raised about 100 with half donated to Rossburn hospital and half to the Junior Red Cross Convalescent hospital. Thanks were extended to Perch district women donors and bazaar lunch providers and to all who bought tickets to support the fund.
The Sandy Lake baseball club lost 18 to 6 to Elphinstone on Sunday May 22 in Elphinstone. Sandy Lake practices are held Tuesdays Thursdays and Sundays with Steve Verbuinsky as coach. A large crowd attended the May 21 opening dance at the Sandy Lake Rink hosted by Pat Pender and His Happy Leaders from Winnipeg.
