Manitoba to waive park entrance fees at four sites
Tourism minister Bob Banman says entrance fees will be discontinued at Asessippi Provincial Park and the Provincial Recreation Parks at Rivers St Ambroise and Moose Lake. Fees will be collected only during peak periods on weekends.

The Rossburn RCMP celebrated the official opening of the new offices on May 16 with an afternoon ceremony. Supt. J R Corley inspected the detachment. Mayor Plaisier and Reeve Katchin attended. notes on local RCMP history and community involvement were shared. the event followed years of planning and upgrades since 1929.

The Rossburn Hornets held a Hockey Wind-up on Saturday May 13 at the Rossburn Town Hall with a banquet at 7:00 p.m. About 100 attended as the Rossburn Leo Club served the supper in their first major meal effort. Orest Smycnuik acted as master of ceremonies and Rev. Ken Stright offered grace. George Lawless thanked the Leos and cooks. Orest Smycnuik introduced the head table. Ron Lamabe presented a year end report on Hornets income and expenses.
