The Village of Rossburn council met with Mayor and three councillors present. The garbage removal contract with Sam Silewich was renewed at 500.00 per year, expiring May 31 1956. Ellen Street extension plan 4358 to be narrowed to 66 feet, closing 11.8 feet for adjacent property owners. Three building permits approved. Secretary granted leave June 20–25 to attend university course. Bills paid. next meeting set for June 27 1965 at 8 p.m.

Square Dance Party Sees Final Event Planned for June
About 30 attendees enjoyed a Thursday Square Dance Party with two prior successes. A final dance is scheduled for June 2. A Polio Vaccine Clinic will be held at Rossburn School on May 19 for child inoculation. All beginners must be six by December 1, 1955 to start school in September.

Explorers Group Attend Rally Near Crandall
The Explorer Group of nine guns with leader Mrs Phyllis Chopp joined a rally trip to Crandall on Saturday. They participated in rallies at Hamiota Miniota Beulah Rossburn and Crandall. Gratitude is extended to Mr H Alston and Mr Harris Huston for organizing transport to the rally.

Shower Honors Merle McFeelers
A miscellaneous shower in honor of Merle McFeelers bride-elect of May 23 was held in the Club Room on Saturday evening May 14. Merle was escorted to a decorated chair and welcomed by her mother and aunt Lottie Stitt. Corsages were given, a contest and sing song followed, and an address was read by Mrs. Bill Taylor. Ronnie and Gayle Taylor, dressed as a doctor and nurse, presented many gifts which were opened and passed around for all. She thanked the ladies for the gifts and the guest book was signed. A dainty lunch was served to over 50 ladies.

The W. A. held its May meeting on Tuesday with 20 members and 22 visitors. Roll call raised 24.89 dollars. Deane Harlow recited "Somebody's Mother." Mrs. Campbell of Ona nole spoke on Venezuela while her son Russell presented slides on South America. The program was enjoyed by all.
