The Rossburn Rover Crew and the Venturer Company host the third annual Camporee May 19–22 on 26 acres of Rossman Lake shore. The Rural Municipality of Rossburn held its regular meeting on Tuesday May 9 1972 at 1 00 PM in Rossburn Council Chambers with Reeve John Mitchell and councilors present. The minutes of April meetings were adopted. Financials for April 30 1972 were approved. By law 970 on budget readings passed. Graveling contract awarded to Drozda Sand and Gravel. Tax statements payment approved. Carpeting for municipal offices contracted to Community Upholstering. Fuel tenders reviewed and Gulf Oil Canada Limited accepted. Provincial Employment Program extended to June 15 1972. Rossman Lake Committee report adopted. Accounts approved for payment and meeting adjourned for June 13 1972.

Student Employment Program funds Rossburn project
The Manitoba Student Employment Program funds a Rossburn area project titled Development of Recreational and Camping with $9300 for 12 students. It funds repairs at Rossman Lake and Fairgrounds, tree planting at the Golf Course, campsite improvements, baseball fence, and grounds maintenance. Tony Ryshytylo is the recreational director and Henry Zimmerman Jr. the project director. Jack Kostuik manages finances for Rossburn Credit Union.

Raffle Winners Named at U C W L Jackpot Bingo

Golf Instruction Schools Planned in Parkland Region

A junior high badminton tournament took place Saturday May 13 at Rossburn Elementary with about 40 players from Inglis Russell Binscarth Angusville and Rossburn. Elaine Tanasychuk won girls singles Kathy Michalchuk and Sonia Herchak won girls doubles Kathy Kolski and Norman Kryski won mixed doubles Bob Paradine of Binscarth led boys singles while a Russell team won boys doubles.
