M Swhed, a 4 pm community program at the Ukr National Home, a Victory Loan emphasis, and a Boy Scout sponsored film. Local residents gathered to honor the fallen and thank the forces for victory in Europe.

Exford War Work Unit Sends Donations to Winnipeg

A successful box social on May 8 raised 2365 for the Winnipeg Red Cross unit. Items donated include 14 men’s pajamas infants gowns and various knitted garments such as sweaters gloves socks and scarves. The Exford unit forwarded the funds and goods to Winnipeg as part of wartime relief efforts.
