Rossburn Marks Victory in Europe Day Parade

Rossburn and district celebrated V E Day with a parade from the school grounds. A crowd heard the king's speech via radio as banners waved and floats led by the Board of Trade and the Local Red Cross. The hall overflowed for services led by Rev B P F Parsons and Father Barnes, with community singing and remarks by local officials. Condolences expressed for a bereaved family. several residents noted returning home after travels and hospital visits.

Vista Ladies Aid War News and Community Events

VISFA the Ladies Aid and W. M. S. met at Mrs M D Hainiton's home last Wednesday. Vista clubs plan a concert and dance on Friday June 1st. The Friday dance was well attended and enjoyed. Alice, in Toronto, has received her Gold Button for ten blood donations. Pte Pete Woychasino wounded in action. A crosh for Victory Loan was held with a returning soldier speaker.
