Women hikers trek Neepawa to Russell on Trans Canada Trail
Thirty three women aged forty to sixty six completed a 176 km hike from Neepawa to Russell along the Rossburn Subdivision Trail part of the Trans Canada Trail. Organized by Kathleen Leathers, the group faced rain and wind with stops in Neepawa Minnedosa El Angusville and Russell. Some hikers finished all eight days while eighteen completed the trek. injuries were common but the experience was praised for hospitality, nature views, and shared memories.
