Riding Mountain beaver control program extended
Manitoba Natural Resources and Environment Canada sign a five year agreement to fund a beaver damage reduction plan near Riding Mountain National Park. The program allocates up to 60 000 annually shared by both levels of government and adds part time staff to trap nuisance beavers and remove dams. Citizens are urged to solve minor problems locally with Natural Resources assistance for severe cases.
