Work oriented discipline for teens proposed by psychologists
Psychologists Steven Szykula and Matt Fleischman propose a work oriented discipline where a teen earns an hour to an hour and a half of useful family work as punishment. Until the task is completed privileges are denied and only when the job meets parental standards are privileges restored. The method aims to wipe the slate clean and reduce anger while teaching responsibility.
