Rod Clement MLA of Russell spoke at the WL meeting describing the St Lawrence Seaway project and its benefits to Canada. Delegates Mrs Viola Stitt and Mrs Ann McIntosh were chosen for the District Convention in Roblin May 15, with Mrs Eileen Stitt and Mrs Alice Lindsay named as a provincial delegate and alternate respectively.
