Sidewalk project slated for Rossburn this summer
The Rossburn village council reconvened April 17 with all members present and carried motions authorizing second and third readings for By-law 583 on sewer and water costs, first reading for By-law 588 on 1980 estimates, and adoption of the annual and five year capital budgets. Floor notes included a plan for about 600 feet of sidewalk on Fifth Street, King Street and Mountain Avenue, and a push for local alcohol counselling services. Grants totalling 48,291.20 were approved for a new regional library, plus 3,000 from the Lions Club and municipal loans.
