Students Shine at Marquette Music Festival in Birtle
The Marquette Music Festival in Birtle April 17 to 21 1978 featured Mrs Hunter Mrs Stefanin Mrs Lillie Miss Smith and Miss Nichvalodoff classes. Rossburn students excelled with top placements in multiple categories. The combined class of Mrs Lillie and Miss Smith earned first and earned an invitation to the Manitoba Festival Concert in Brandon on June 16 1978.

April Weather Summary Looks Normal Amid Dry Conditions

Golfers plan season as Rossburn Club holds annual meeting
The Rossburn Golf Club met Friday April 28 in the Curling Rink with 13 members present. Minutes and the financial report were adopted. Officers elected include President Bob Pritchard, vice-president Jim Andrew, secretary Nick Kalyniuk, and committees for membership grounds and tournaments. Fees set at men 20, women 13, family 35, junior 17.

Selected members will display articles at the Russell Fair while Lori McKietiuk Denise Chichaluk earned top Junior Demonstrations and will compete regionally May 6 in Russell. Frances Antonin Pat Antonin and leaders spoke about Camp Wannakumbac and exchange trips.
