Annual Hockey Windup Honors Rossburn Teams
The Rossburn Minor Hockey Association held its annual banquet and dance on Saturday April 26. Rev Brian Penny gave grace, then a student served supper. Velma Kreshewski received a lunch-counter gift of appreciation. Awards went to MVPs for 8 and under through 14 and under, with Jim Procyk earning MVP and league scoring honors. Many players were noted for recruitment from outside Rossburn. The event closed with a dance and thanks to the community.

Rossburn Collegiate badminton teams excelled in the Division and Zone tournaments in Russell and the Regional in Brandon. Rossburn boys and girls doubles took Zone trophies. several teams reached finals, with Ken Ament and others competing strongly. Nine R.C.I. players advanced to Regionals, where mixed and girls doubles saw close outcomes. The season ended with strong overall performance across zones and regionals.
