Rossburn Credit Union opens new premises with ceremonies
The Rossburn Credit Union celebrated the official opening of its new building on Wednesday March 29 in the Town Hall at 2 p.m. Attendees included L C Johnston mayor Louis Kurchaba and Maurice Gautier deputy minister of cooperative development. Speakers recalled the union’s history dating back to 1958 and 1954 and highlighted government support and future expansion plans.

Pelly Trail Division MTS Teachers Accept Pay Concession
The Pelly Trail Division Association of the Manitoba Teachers Society and trustees reached a goodwill gesture as teachers agreed to forfeit 50 percent of their January to June 1972 raise to preserve staff in the 1971 72 academic year. Local Wrestling Team Places Well at Pelly Trail Tournament
The Pelly Trail Jr High wrestling tournament on March 22 at Russell saw two Division teams compete. The team earned three firsts and three seconds with Leonard Chris and Doug taking firsts and Randy Matthew and Blaine earning seconds. A large crowd watched the young wrestlers compete.
