The Ceilidh House Bakery in Rossburn kept busy last week as owners Larry and Marie Elke prepared for Easter. They filled orders for Ukrainian Paska and Baba bread as well as Hot Cross Buns and anticipated a busy week ahead with Easter on the weekend.
Rossburn hosts an Open Mixed Bonspiel April 5 10 announced by the Agri Rec Complex and Rossburn Curling Club. The event features four competitions with a cold draw scoring system and prizes, while pledges support facility costs. A new pharmacy opens May 30 with Jay Boschman bringing a manager and pharmacist to the former Pool Room building, next to the A M office.
Clocks in Manitoba move ahead one hour early Easter morning April 3 as daylight saving time starts under the Official Time Act. The change occurs at 2:00 a.m. when clocks advance to the new hour, marking the first Sunday in April and extending until the last Sunday in October.
