Nick Verbowski 81 and Teenie Verbowski 77 died suddenly in Rossburn Manitoba in March 1973. They were Ukrainian born immigrants who farmed in Glen Elmo district before moving to Rossburn. Survived by 2 sons 3 daughters 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren with a sister of Teenie in Birdtail. Prayers were led at Ukrainian Catholic Church Rossburn and funeral followed.

Verbowsky and Verbowski Rites Held with Pallbearers Named

Rural Rossburn Council Meets March 21 1973
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn held its March 21 1973 meeting at 1 p.m. in Rossburn Council Chambers with Reeve John Mitchell and councillors in attendance. The body adopted February’s minutes, approved a February financial statement, and granted $50 to sponsor a Dental Service Clinic with the Rossburn Lions. Debates covered ARCA 3 land purchase, tax forgiveness requests, a drainage issue, and the Shoal Lake Hospital District Supplementary Scheme. Other actions included driver testing space, official attendance at meetings, committee appointments, and membership in regional associations.
