Rossburn council learns of fundraising plans for recreation complex
At the March 14 meeting Mrs. Avis Stitt and Pat Roy for the Agri Rec Centre Fund Raising Committee outlined fund raising activities including a household canvas in both the Village and Rural Municipality of Rossburn and a talent night. They asked the council to consider a March 1989 letter requesting a $150 contribution to aid in establishing a new community complex. Trustees Kreshewski and Goletz attended to discuss Pelly Trail School Division matters as council raised concerns about limited courses and a potential second time teacher cut at Rossburn Collegiate. The council deemed the local education program sub standard compared with the division’s west end offerings.
