Manitoba education support program praised at trustees’ convention
Manitoba Education Minister Keith Cosens lauded a three year education support program as a tool for trustees to plan and operate programs. The plan increases provincial funding by 70 million over 1980, shifts away from real property taxes, reinforces local autonomy, and promotes long term planning and equalization across divisions.
