Line Elevators Supply Military Camps With Books
The North-West Line Elevators Association operated 357 circulating libraries in drought areas of the prairie provinces. Over 22 090 volumes on history economics and related subjects were provided free to farmers. Libraries were rotated to refresh reading material. Directors decided to turn all libraries over to the Canadian Legion War Services for use in military camps.

Old Time Dance Raises Funds Amid Snowbound Roads
The Avoirdupeis Dance at Rossburn hall, under Salvage Corps auspices, drew a strong turnout despite blizzard conditions. Winners received War Saving Stamps for feats including the oldest couple on the floor and the farthest traveling guests, with music by MelIntyre's Vista Orchestra and floor management by Mr Chesney.

Red Cross Campaign Meeting Held for March Fund Drive
A February 27 Red Cross meeting at Olha National Home organized canvassers for the March fund drive.
