Lack of entries cancels Expressions 3 art show at Rossburn
Lois Clement of the Rossburn District Arts Council says the Parkland Juried Art Show Expressions 3 was canceled due to only about 60 entries by the March 1 deadline, far short of the 150 to 200 hoped for, making juror fees meals and mileage unjustified. The Rossburn show would have been the first on this side of Riding Mountain, previously held in Swan River and Dauphin, with possible future hosting not ruled out.

Rossburn Council Eyes School Maintenance and Historic Site
The RM of Rossburn council met on March 15 with Reeve John Mitchell and councilors present to seek funds for ongoing school building maintenance and to designate the Marconi School as a municipal historic site. They adopted annual estimates and the five year capital program, plus appointed John Mitchell to the Seniors Helpers Board. The 1988 Education Support Levy and Education Tax Levy amounts were acknowledged and raised under the Public Schools Act. Manitoba Telephone System proposes burying cable between sections 27 and 34, township 21, range 24W.
