Vista notes report Mra M D Hamilton returning from Winnipeg to visit relatives. Pte A Smith spent the weekend with his wife and baby daughter at Mr and Mrs W J Hamilton. Mrs L McLaren and baby daughter of Myrtle Man are visiting the area. Nie H Armstrong hosted a supper for friends in celebration of her birthday. A large crowd attended the Red Cross dance last Friday, raising about 10000 for the 1935 drive bringing the total to nearly 100000 for the community to be proud of. A correction issued for a misspelled name in a prior item. WSC dance winners were Mrs M Brown and Wee Lilly, certificates donated by Mrs A Forde. Mrs Woytowich hosted a surprise party for six guests.

Mrs Car Kotyk of Fort William spent a week visiting with relatives and friends in the district. Mrs Ann Chalaturnyk of South Junction visits her sister and brother in law Mr and Mrs W B Wachna. John M Yanick stationed at Winnipeg takes a short leave with his wife and family. Mrs J Gerlus of Elphinstone visits at the home of her daughter in law Mr and Mrs S P Gerlus. Mr Stanley Raginsky left last Wednesday to visit relatives in Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan. A gigantic fur pelt display in the rock store of N Unickow draws interest. The seven foot eight inch mostly black timber wolf pelt was found north of Oakburn near Riding Mountain National Park. It was captured by Mike I Myshasin of Mare, Manitoba. The funeral of Victor (Tolly) Schwaluk, five years old, son of Mr and Mrs Dymetro J Schwaluk, occurred in Oakburn. He died in Children's Hospital Winnipeg on Saturday, March 10. The Greek Catholic Church service was led by Rev Marian Shwed with interment in Oakburn cemetery. The white casket bore May beautiful decorations from relatives and friends, carried by Mike Muntiosky, Alike Yanick, Murray Ewangbo, and Tony Kavinski.
