Funeral held in Gordondale with services in 1945.

Ptevan Stitt of Fort Osborne Barracks arrives home on leave. Mr and Mrs Gordon Taylor and others traveled to Winnipeg. Live Stock to be shipped from Rossburn and Birdtail on March 19. Dr Sherman of Ancusville visited town. Pte Frank Callas left for Sussex NB awaiting embarkation. A new house purchase completed by Mr and Mrs Walter Armstrong from Mrs Peden. Mr Earle Taylor ill and operated on for penicitis. John Collins injured his arm at Gorden Taylors. Cpl T Mitchell wounded in action had left leg amputated at the hip. A dance will be held March 23 in the town hall under Soldiers Aid auspices. Hamiota Orchestra to supply music. Dymetie Yarmey moved his house into town near Rossburn school. James Armstrong led moving crew. Mrs Fred Plante taken to Russell for maternity care. baby boy died en route due to snow drift. Farewell party for Ste Frank Hallas held February 28 with supper and dancing. Musicians N Tryhuick and Mervin Marynuike. Hallas received purse of money. Whist Drive and Dance netted $65 for MedCro st. Returned prisoner of war fundraiser yielded $55. Dune's orchestra played. winners in the whist drive: Ladies Mrs Chas Douglas.
