Birthday Tea Honors Airs J J Stott At 19th Birthday

Joint hostesses Mrs U McPeeters and Mrs J itt staged a surprise tea at Mrs Jitt's home for Airs J Jd. Stott's 19th birthday. More than seventy young ladies attended an enjoyable afternoon and gathered around the song washing table for a luncheon. Photos were taken before des chauffeur returned them to their homes.

Veitch spent the weekend at Foxwarren. Kuzenko suffered a tragedy as a young three year old heifer was lost in the Birdtail River ice hole. Wladeka plans to truck ice into town to keep beer cool next summer. Mrs Allan Smith returns from Winnipeg visit. Arthur’s update ends the brief.

Oakburn residents feature visits with relatives in Roseburn and Winnipeg events. Mrs Nelson Peden and Sandra visited Robert Peden family. Mrs Philip Hubert returned from Winnipeg with son Walter Hubert who received his discharge from the Canadian Army. A Ladies Aid meeting at Oakburn United Church occurred March 7 with a hosted lunch.
