Binscarth 4H Member Wins Hatchery Award
Stanley receives first prize for a pen of three pullets and one cockerel at the Binscarth Poultry Club show and led 150 Barred Rock chicks to maturity. He represented Russell district at Winnipeg 4-H week and was chosen to represent Binscarth at the United Nations Youth Seminar at the University of Manitoba. He is active in student council, public speaking, and sports. The 4-H Poultry Club is led by Miss May.

World Day of Prayer Held at Pentecostal Church
The World’s Day of Prayer was observed in the Pentecostal Church on Friday afternoon. Sponsored by the Missionary Council of the Pentecostal Church Vista Women’s Auxiliary and Women’s Missionary Society of the United Church, with help from the Women’s Auxiliary, led by Mrs. H. Miller. A list of assistants includes Mrs. Lindsay Mrs. Wm. Stitt Mrs. Alston Mrs. McPhail Mrs. J. G. Stitt Mrs. Wilson Stitt Mrs. W. Armstrong Mrs. Miamson Sr. Mrs. F.E. Woods Mrs. A. Mitchell and Mrs. Sherritt. The theme That They May Have Life was presented by Mrs. J. Huston. Miss Joyce Mitchell sang The Garden of Prayer and the afternoon pianist was Mrs. Gordon Bell. On Sunday after service Mr. Thos. McAnestie of Winnipeg demonstrated a Mason and Risch Wurlitzer Organ, an outstanding two-manual model.
