A couples only evening of fun and frolic at the Salvage Committee Avoirdupois Old Time Dance. It takes place at 9:30 pm Friday March 19th in Rossburn Hall with a prized Old Time Waltz winner, oldest couple on the floor, and longest distance traveled. Admission for gentlemen and ladies varies with coffee and sugar provided.

Miss Isabel Swerrein, Miss Jose Swerrein, and Mr John Swerrein visited Mrs Hrysack for the weekend while Ruthamsay recovered from flu and the school remained closed for three days. The quilting event raised tickets for a Grocery Hamper raffle. Mrs R Careen is recovering well post operation.
Vista Mrs W Stitt traveled to Winnipeg on Saturday. Mrs F Steele left for Port La Prairie for her husband’s posting. Mr and Mrs George Bilinsky went to Winnipeg for medical treatment with Pte P Bilinsky visiting home. Dance in Vista Hall on Friday March 12 welcomes all. Vista folks enjoyed the Ossburn dance on March 5. Sympathy extends to Mr Peter Stranokey on his wife’s death. Byrd School bazaar and dance on February 20 netted 5700 for the Red Cross. Red Cross quilting bee completed three quilts at Mrs Woytowich’s home. nine quilts total for January February. Next quilting at Mrs T C Miller March 10. Red Cross canvass in Vista Hall March 14 during the Educational show to gather donations. canvassers will call locally.
Terry Hukalo receives a warm birthday greeting on his tenth birthday from Evelyn and Melvio.
Volunteers will start calling on Roasburne citizens Friday May 12 for donations to the Red Cross. The local branch sponsors the national appeal launched March 1. Donations acknowledged in the review weekly until the canvas ends as world events increase demand on Red Cross supplies.
