Aboriginal Youth Conference in Winnipeg Set for April
The Provincial Aboriginal Youth Conference will run April 21 to 23 at the Winnipeg Convention Centre. Five Aboriginal groups join to continue the December 1995 Sacred Assembly success. A six member youth group, five project coordinators and one advisor form the committee with topics likely covering health education culture and youth leadership.

Rossburn council outlines steering group for Rossburn Subdivision sale
Municipalities along the Rossburn Subdivision form a steering committee to pursue acquisition at an equitable CN price with provincial facilitation. An incorporated body will hold title and pursue a tourism corridor while addressing landowner concerns. The council also sets tax sale date for 1996 and moves to rename the village to Rossburn Town.

Education program expands to Brandon for separated parents
Manitoba Family Services Minister Bonnie Mitchelson announced a Winnipeg program for separating and divorcing parents titled For the Sake of the Children will now be available in Brandon through the Westman family conciliation office. The three hour sessions cover children's needs, parental cooperation, conflict resolution and parenting plans, and are free. The Brandon session starts the week of March 17.
