Rossburn Hospital Auxiliary Meeting Summary

Millicent Sawechuk Anne Slow proposed Hospital Aid serve coffee and doughnuts at the Dairy Seminar March 14 15. Committees were named for Tuesday Wednesday and a Pot Luck Supper set for March 28 at 6 30 in the Chalet with a short business meeting after. Adjournment followed with hostess prize won by Mabel Armstrong.

The Snake Creek Hockey League will hold its season finals at Foxwarren Arena on Friday March 17. Games begin with the 10 year and under at 4 30 p m, followed by 12 year and under and then 14 and under and 16 and under finals. Trophies go to group winners and special awards to top goalies and players.

United Church Women Meet in March Gathering
The United Church Women held a meeting on Wednesday March 1 at Willis Stitt home with seven members and three visitors. Lil Thompson led an Easter devotional and plans were made to quilt next week. Members took material for sewing and bazaar items were handed in. Lunch followed. The next meeting is set for April 5 at Andrew Belinski home with Margaret Miller leading a devotional.

The Rossburn Lions host the 6th annual Ice Carnival on Friday March 17 at the Arena. Doors open 7 pm with costume judging at 8 pm. Prize levels include 50 cash Centennial Leaf, 3 2 1 for top three. Events feature skit program by Rossburn Figure Skating Club, racing, log sawing, chuckwagon racing, Smoosh racing, and four broomball teams.
